2 Year old Erica Johnson was severely beaten by her mother’s 21 year old boyfriend at her grandmother’s home. Both of Erica’s parents had troubled lives. Erica’s 18 year old mother was in Jail at the time of her death, which is why she stayed with her grandmother. Paramedics were called and found Erica in cardiac arrest. The toddler sustained “major physical trauma”. She later died at the Centinela Hospital Medical Center.
